The majority of classes at Ithaca College in the Environmental Science department  are hands on and in the field, which makes them that much more enjoyable. This way of teaching prepares students for future careers and encourages students to get more involved. Fortunately, this past semester I've been lucky enough to take a tracking class. Yes, tracking! Not only is tracking a great way to emerce yourself in nature, but it's also a great teaching method for understanding the relationship that tracks have to the outdoors. I appreciate this type of curriculum and it has helped my problem solving abilities at school, at work and in every day life.
